I don’t remember if I’ve posted this here before or not, but since it got some new pieces recently I’ll post anyhow. 2008 Ciocc Exige frameset, Campagnolo Potenza shifters and derailleurs, Athena crankset, and Campy Vento wheels. Specialized Phenom saddle, because it’s comfy. Bike has around 12,000 miles on it.

2007 Roubaix Comp Triple. Carbon frame, full 105 10 speed groupset. I upgraded the wheels (I rebuilt them myself using the Mavic Open Pro rims it came with, Bitex hubs and Sapim double butted spokes/brass nipples), cassette (used Dura Ace 11-28 (was a 12-25), brake pads (Kool Stop dual compound) and cables (Jagwire Pro). Replaced the handlebar tape with Profile Designs cork wrap and the tires with Conti Gatorskins. I love this bike - Has the gears I’ll need (and I regularly use them all)

Old guy here new to this all. I bought a hybrid to bike with my wife around the neighborhood. My buddy firmly pointed me in the direction of buying a road bike that was for sale locally. I bought it with flat tires and not knowing anything about it. I now have a 2016 Trek Domane 4.0 Disc Compact. Last night I had the LBS install new tubeless tires. I am ready to go, but man that little seat hurts.

I have a Cinelli Vigorelli Road. Its a steel frame/carbon fork, with track bike geometry but set up for derailleurs and cables.
I built it with Campy Centaur 11-speed group, Hunt Four Season wheels and Schwalbe One Pro tubeless tires 700c x 25. Semi-compact crank. 11-32 cassette, I think. Thomson stem and seat post. Fabric seat. Speedplay pedals. Some water bottles, lights, and a computer.
I’ve had a lot of bikes over the years, but none nicer than this. It’s one of my highly prized possessions.
I don’t have a picture but will get one and post it later.

My first Endurance bike
The less aggressive geo/fit has really helped in recovering from quad tendon/above right knee injury i suffered this spring. I'd like to thank the guy I sold this to on ebay that returned it to me last summer because it was missing 1 disc caliper bolt. Turned out to be a great N+1 keeper when i least expected, at a time new bikes and sizes are hard to come by

This is my first set of Control's and these are with tubes, honestly have less than 200mi and a handful of rides on them so far and i have not enough mileage to note any wear. I'm under the assumption these are a bit thicker than the Corsa G+ 2.0?
My last set of Vittoria's were the Corsa G+ Gen 1 with the anthracite sidewall and while i would get some small micro pebbles embedded into the rubber after the 500 mark, i got about 1800mi on them without any punctures or notable cuts. I havent had the best tubeless experience with Sworks tires in the last year so i went back to clincher o this project.

Here's my road bike. My first ever road bike, in fact. I love it to bits. It's a Soul (a well regarded Brazilian brand) 3R1 Disc 2019 model that I bought used in February. Aluminum frame, carbon fork. It was the cheapest bike with hydraulic disc brakes that I could find, and also looked good. One thing I didn't like about it was the weight. It's about 10,8 Kg or 23.8 lbs, including pedals and bottle cages. I went on a spending spree and already spent a fairly irrational amount of money buying all sorts of parts for it, including new wheels, tires, pedals (I had to buy those anyway, those M520 are from my hybrid), seat post, handlebar, stem, bottle cages, etc. Lot's of cheap Chinese carbon, wish me luck
Most of the weight will be shed from the wheels and tires, about 3 lbs. With the other parts, I'm aiming for a sub 20 pound weight (again, with pedals, bottle cages and head unit mount), if only just. I know it's not especially light even after all the upgrades, but this is an entry level bike. Most of the upgraded parts I'll be able to transfer to another bike in the future.
Well, here it is with all the new parts. Final weight is 19,86 lbs (9,01 Kg) with pedals and bottle cages. Very happy with the results so far.

Not really. Seeing that I didn't really buy name brand parts, most of the upgrades were fairly cheap, like the seatpost, handlebar and bottle cages. All bought from Aliexpress. The bulk of the cost came from the wheels (still cheap, TBH) and tires. Any bike that I could realistically afford would benefit from those as well.

My Crude bicycle was built by Ray Glover in 1975 and who hand forged the lugs to accommodate the geometry I wanted for a long distance touring frame. Today it would be considered a triathlon frame but it was built before there were triathlons. Full Campy circa 1975 except for the Brooks saddle, Cinelli handlebars, Phil Woods bottom bracket. Tough part now is finding sewup tires for the rims. Thinking of giving it to Ray to display in his shop in Arcata, CA.

2010 Scott Addict SL
I used to have 2009 Scott Addict R4 which sadly was stolen. As I've had more flexibility in my schedule the last few months I've been riding more and found I really miss that bike, so when a 2010 Scott Addict SL in my size showed up for sale a month ago, I couldn't resist. I pulled off and cleaned just about everything, swapped the crankset for a compact, neatened the cable runs, and replaced the handlebar with one in my preferred width. Just finished the bar tape yesterday and took it out for a short shakedown ride, looking forward to a longer one this week.
