Hey fellas, baseball is over this Saturday, so my Tuesday nights should free up now. I'm going to try to make it out to the Gardens next Tues. night, that is if I decide to come back after the Memorial Day lake house fun.

The wife and I went to the gardens on Tuesday and had a nice ride with the "all riders" group. We wanted to start there since we had never been on a group ride before. It was a bit slow for us though.
Is there a group between the "all riders" group and the fast group? We would like to ride a bit faster but I'm not sure we could keep up with the fast group.

If all goes well I'll be at the Garden's 5/5- tommorrow night. I'll be in a small silver pickup truck and will be on a silver bike. White helmet with blickie light attached. Look for me and I'll try to get you with the right group.

I didn't get there until right before the ride started and saw a few silver pickups, a few guys on silver bikes, but I didn't notice anyone with a white helmet, so we just rode the "all riders" ride again. I won't be able to make it next Tuesday but maybe the week after that I can get there early enough to find you. Thanks for trying.

Well guys, I've been MIA in a bad way. I'd really like to make it out tonight but its not going to happen. I havent even done any phyisical activity in nearly a month. I got bit by a spider while taking some boys camping as a favor for their father. Bite turned into a nasty Staph Infection on my rib cage and I was very close to having to stay a few nights in the hospital because of it.
I'm going to workout tonight (first time since bitten), and maybe I'll make it out to the Gardens next week. I just can't hop on the FG and ride in 90 degrees after a month of absence. Look for me next week!

KrautFed,
That sounds like a nasty bite. Staph infections are nothing to play around with. Hope you are 100% soon. May see you next week at the Gardens.

There's another alleycat race in Huntsville in July. When I get the date I'll post it here and in the FG racing forum.
I came in second in the last one; it was a lot of fun. Mickeys and burgers served up afterwards. The winner got $27.

The venue is schweet! Road surface perfect, zero traffic. I think more folks will be there after the 4th since this week was the date change thanks to Travis.
Now if we could just flatten out those little hills on both ends. And work on the motor.

Alleycat race this coming Sunday July 8 in Huntsville. Meet at Trailhead on Andrew Jackson. Starts at 5pm.
There were about 10 of us at the race last month. Lot of fun, Mickeys beer and burgers afterwards.

Will is a Cat 2/Masters racer for ERA Realty and a Giant rep. The rest of Wednesdays group was Cat 5 probably so needless to say he had a quicker pace than had been hoped for...
Tmax1, were you the one who was on the opposite side of us right before the start, on the Kestrel with the BBC jersey on?

I had the BBC jersey but not a Kestral. Gray bike with yellow and green logo.
I love the pig on th jerseys. I'm not GCC but had to have a pig last year.

I actually bought the GC kit at Homewood before moving here last here and joining them. I also got it for the Pig!
