Yea, it's great here. I have to sacrifice a good salary to live here, but that once a year trip makes me feel like a king. Most likely be the Val Pusteria region.

Last year's trip

There are some hot springs areas. That might be an idea to consider.
Thanks

Could just be sheer envy, but it seems that humanity turns farther away from being happy for someone and nearer to "if I cannot do it, then no one should".

There's a story of the first privatization of collectives after the fall of the Soviet wall. One farmer was asked what he wanted and he asked, "I wish that I may keep my cow, then I could use the milk." His neighbor was next asked, and he said, "I wish my neighbor's cow should die."

I think it also resonates a bit differently here where the numbers are not dropping, but are actually getting worse again.

I don't want to travel in the US this summer because I'm not sure I won't get stuck somewhere in a lockdown.

Ha! I don't want to travel in the US because I'm not sure I won't get stuck somewhere that SHOULD be in lockdown but isn't. (Biz trip to Phoenix in the fall already cancelled, because, well, Arizona.)

I initially felt the same way of the similar thinking here, but then I put my own perspective as well as how to not fall under those lock down situations & am confident that I would be not held against my will somewhere.

I have no idea what that means. I just know that it's very possible to get stranded in places when transportation systems get shut down, and that can happen in a hurry.

Yep. Always burning. Past, present, and future.
