New Vintage Follis 472 day !
My wife and I made a road trip to Phoenix to pick this 472 up. I have a nice condition 172 but it’s too big so finally found this one !
Campy Nuovo Record shifting and DL, Mafac Competition brakes, Needs a lot of cleaning and a few expendable items replaced but still rides great.

Would you mind posting pics of your other Follis?
Nice Winter project to refurb. Congrats.
If I am not mistaken - those rims have been called out for being a difficult tire mount. I cannot comment 1st hand, as mine have not required a tire refresh since acquiring (and may never). My bikes mostly roll tubulars.
PS - Wondering the French pronunciation on the brand. Have heard a couple of variations.
edit: If you find a source for 1/2 hood covers, please share it.

Very nice. Love this - those lugs, the brakes, the unobtrusive stem panto. Does the DT shift boss not mating up to the clamp indicate this was issued with other equipment? Just curious.

Both are good looking bikes. The 472 is a heck of a score.
You have a saddle with Rebour’s name stitched on it. That’s cool.
Those are very good rims. A wired on tire and a thin rim strip is good advice.

Nice lugs, 531 tubing, and Nervar Star cranks -- what's not to like?

Thanks for the 172 pics @Tomm Willians - several upgrades when compared to my 072.
Yes, congrats on the new find. Always interesting to find another model of a brand to compare.
Keep this thread alive as progress is made to refurb.
Hope you are healed, a new bike helps get over much of what ails an injury.
I believe there are more old bikes surfacing in the For Sale market.
Lots of folks pulled out their 'good ole bikes' to ride in 2020.
I predict after the pandemic subsides that more oldies will come onto the market.
Fewer people want to work on them and newer bikes are....newer and shinier.
