Broke my Brooks
It took 14 years and 25,000 miles but I broke my Brooks saddle. I’m really bummed because Brooks stopped making the Professional. Luckily, I had another...a Brooks Pro Alpe d’Huez.

Looks like the other side is about to break in the same place.
BTW, sorry to change the topic, but I had to use your "bolt the wench to the BB cup" method this week to get a stubborn RH BB cup out. That is the second time I have used that procedure and no longer use the Sheldon Brown method. Simple and effective.

Dang. Sorry to hear. I was actually beginning to wonder about what I would do if mine broke. Think it’s a year or two older. But because I rotate bikes/saddles, the mileage is a lot lower. Sweet saddle.

Perhaps but this is a steel frame saddle. Honestly, it’s the first saddle I’ve ever broken and I’ve owned hundreds of different saddles.

I’ve actually broken a whole bunch of saddles. I think the vast majority were on bmx and mountain bikes. Maybe one or two on my old volume cutter back when I was enthusiastic about trick bikes and doing tons of stupid stuff on it.
That one’s a keeper, tho. I’d definitely look into getting it fixed.

AFAIK, Rudi only deals with the leather, not the frame. But, you could remove the leather from the frame, weld the cracks in the frame, and then have Rudi re-attach it (assuming it isn't damaged) or replace it with new leather. I had him replace the leather on a Brooks Professional last fall after it tore and am quite satisfied with the results.
