Value of a Nishiki Pinnacle w/ elevated chainstays

I posted this bike in the C&V Forum already. A co-worker is selling his Nishiki Pinnacle. I believe it was #3 on the Nishiki food chain. The paint is called pink crackle, & from the pic it appears to be in good shape. Tange Mt. Bike tubing & Suntour XC Comp throughout. Thoughts on value?

I would think the Nishiki asis, $175 maybe. If the paint is good and the bearing sets are good and throughly cleaned serviced about $300. I don't think it would sell real quick at those numbers, but a serious buyer can look at an add for weeks before pulling the trigger.

If this was a reagular seatstay MTB I would say about $50 less on both numbers.

The sidewalls on the rear tire look especially crusty and crackly. And the huge frame size might limit the pool of buyers. I'd put the value a lot closer to $100.

XC Comp is good stuff and elevated chainstay bikes are popular with collectors from that era

$250 --- Buuuuuuuuuuut - will really need a tall drink 'o water to ride it

you are probably about 3 years too late! check the post dates
In Southern California the Ariels and Pinnacles pop up fairly frequently, depending on where you are you can likely find one?
