Winter wheels on, slightly lost in the forest. The coaster brake was taking up to 200 m to re-engage after braking until I gave it a rebuild. Today I did some impressive sideways slides on the steep downhills with less than an eighth of a turn at the cranks to re-engage drive.
Winter wheels and tires, plus dual dynamos.

Here is one of my Romet Jubilat's - but unlike the rest it has a 5-speed derailleur instead of a coaster brake, hence the front and rear brakes. It was a 3-speed when I got it, but it has been stripped, serviced, and is now going back together - hence the taped in place brake cable. It also has no gear lever, because I fitted the steering stem as I normally would - forgetting that this one has a gear lever that should be attached to the stem. As a result the test had to be done in one gear, second, I guess where first would be if it still had only 3 speeds.
Zenit - the little 'flags' on the wheels have 'Z' on the other side, so I could find them in the wheel stack.

The rear brake and gear lever cable routing remains a mystery - I have yet to find an original picture showing where they ran. It has original plastic ties on some parts of the frame, but no indication how the cables go past the fold. I am considering purchasing a cable guide / noodle from a rear V-brake to get the cable heading where it should without lots of ties to avoid it being clipped by the pedal.

Slow roll around my city this weekend recouping from some post Covid sinus mess. Sunshine felt great with 50+ temps.
