Weight of 1990 Schwinn world
I have a 1990 Schwinn World (not World Sport) and am wondering if anyone knows the weight of it. 27 inch wheels, male version.

This is going to sound blunt, but why don't you weigh it? Step on the bathroom scale holding the bike, subtract your weight. It is possible that components changed over time and that could greatly impact the weight.

Used the bathroom scale method. Came out to 28.2 lbs. guess that’s pretty good. Another question- anyone know how to “un dry” out the handlebars padding? I really don’t want to replace them or change to a wrap because I’m trying to keep everything original.

Are the handlebar grips tubes of foam padding? If so, they were called grab-ons I believe, and I doubt if they can be rehabilitated once they start to deteriorate. Maybe someone has a trick?
If not, it isn't a huge deal. It looks like they are still being made.

Wanted to give everyone an update on the bike- Turns out it's a 1989 World. Misread the catalog. Bought Bell FlatDefense tires and tubes. Fully restored bike after aprox. 20-22 hrs of labor. Thanks for everyone who helped.
