This is a custom built frame (Columbus SL) from 1983 outfitted with a Campy SR groupo I purchased for $400 from Colorado Cyclist. The bars and stem are Cinelli. This was my daily ride for the past 30 years until this past spring when I treated myself to Cervelo R5 with Dura Ace and Zipp wheels.

I think it's a 1983 Schwinn Voyager, not sure what year it is, I found it in a dumpster and I never took the time to look at the serial number and figure out the date, I know it has the champagne paint which was used from 1975 to 1988 Voyagers, and it has the Shimano Deer Head Deore XT derailleurs which came out in 1982 to 1983, but I think Schwinn only used the Deer Head for one year which was 83? regardless it's my oldest bike.

I used to use a strobe similar to the one you have on the back. Man, did cars see it!

my 1955 Dayton Roadmaster. Finding information on lugged Dayton (London) frames is nearly impossible. It may be older then 1955, but that was the date on the original Sturmy Archer hub. Wheels, seat, and pedals have been changed

No pic, but the oldest is an 83 Team Fuji that I bought new in early 84. She's mostly stock, other than upgrading the original Suntour Arx derailleurs to Cyclone mk II's and a saddle change or two. Oh yeah, and a new set of wheels back in 86.
I guess she's not mostly stock after all.

That was the whole point! My work commute was on a 55mph two-lane State Highway. Well, the first 8-1/2 miles were. Nice to be SEEN!!! Then another mile-and-a-half on the same State Highway, but the speed limit dropped to 35mph... The remaining 1.5 miles was on side streets.

Technically: Mongoose xr something or other from 2006. Front gears won't shift, Seat is chewed up, handlebar grips disintegrated, chain skips on any force on the downstroke of pedaling. It is a nasty NASTY thing I wish on noone especially with it attemptning to look flashy with rear and front suspension and the same shemano derailiur I have on my current bike.
Seriously how Mongoose or any other brand gets away with selling bikes with 'spsension' at that price range should border on tripping consumer protection laws.
But it showed me that yes my eyes were good enough to give this a try again. So it served it's purpose. It's currently sitting in a scrap medal pile that'll get hauled off after renovations are done.

I got back into cycling about 15 yrs ago so none of my bikes are really old. The oldest is a Masi Gran Criterium S circa 2005. It is an AL frame with CF fork, chain stay and seat stay. All 15 yr old Dura Ace.

In my fleet we have an (I think) early '60s coaster brake bike that was a roadside find and my son fixed it up to ride to school. We also have a c.1980 Raleigh Grand Prix set up with a Shimano Nexus 7s IGH, a 1984 Fuji Sundance MTB, and a 1986 Miyata 610.
There are also a handful of 'modern' bikes, dating from the early '00s to about 2010.

A colleague gave me a 1963 Schwinn cruiser, and it's at my workplace, for anybody who wants to take it for a joy ride. Besides making sure it's lubricated, and putting new tires on it, I've deliberately left it in un-restored condition. One reason is to show people that such a humble bike actually works great and is fun to ride.

What I've been told is a 1957 or58 Columbia. I just got it and since I already bought it I'm going all in on the rebuild and customizing. Paid way too much for it and a 1976 schwinn. About$150 too much. Gave 160 for the pair with a roadmaster tricycle and the guy did fill the van up with parts.
