Bicycle weights and a little surprised.
I weighed my three ridable bicycles; 1) Bianchi Infinito came in at a respectable 18 lbs, 4 oz. 2) Cannondale Quick Carbon at 25 lbs 13 oz. and 3) Peugeot 103 at 27 lbs 14 oz.
What surprised me was how heavy the Cannondale (Not Very) Quick weighed. I admit this was a decision to get a flat bar bike, but frankly it is number 3 of 3 riders. The 37 year old Peugeot feels about the same (and now I know why) and is a fun ride. The Bianchi is a great handling bike and I can't find fault with it. But that Cannondale is, putting it bluntly, a pig.

Wow... makes me wonder how heavy the alloy version of the Cannondale Quick is? There are likely lots of weight savings to be had in wheels, tires, crank, seat, seatpost, handlebars on that bike, not that there would be any sense in doing any of that.

Just for fun, compare the weights of just the wheels from the Cannondale vs the wheels from the Bianchi. I will be shocked Pikachu if there isn't ~3lbs difference in the wheels alone. You might have a 1lb penalty/wheel just for the flat-resistant tires over the GP5000s.

I was surprised too, I knew it was heavier than the Bianchi but I was surprised how close it weighed to my old steel framed Peugeot. I am thinking of selling it while bike prices remain high and getting a different bike completely. But that's another story.

Get rid of all of those reflectors on the Peugeot, replace the saddle, set fire to the dork disc, and it will weigh less than the crackandfail.

Maybe it's just the camera angle, but that handlebar looks extra wide. Can you shorten it by a few inches on each side? That would save a little weight.

How about that huge mirror on the bar end?
Seriously, I have 2 roadies with different width bars on them. I rode the one with the shallow drops more often over a time period. I got on the deeper/narrow bars and was in for a surprise when I stood to climb and my thigh hit the bar end. Once I remembered the bars were longer, I was fine. But with that mirror, I don't think I could compensate enough. Can you stand on the Bianchi without hitting your thigh on that mirror?

I see a lot of heavy components on that Cannondale, while the Bianchi has carbon bars/seatpost, lighter saddle, lighter groupset, wheels/tires, etc. Bianchi might still end up being lighter with the same components on the Cdale, but def a lot of weight that could be shed, if you wanted.

The cannondale is so heavy because of all the heavy stuff hanging off of it, I feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball every time I look at the wheels. Give it a chance.
