Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Turned out they're all old folk, like me, and invited me to tag along! Sweet!

Staying in the ride pic mode here's mine from this morning. Don't think I've posted it when it was dressed for distance. Never thought to break out the camera while meeting the group....too busy ogling and drooling. Who knew there were those types of bikes here!?!

I like that bike AND I like that pic. Tires?

Awesome man! I think I'm gonna be staying in Sausalito, as my uncle owns a hotel right there by the ferry landing, which is probably where i'll be living until I find a place.

Hey guys,

We just released a feature video that I think some of you would be able to appreciate. It's segueing from our blog post "Spring In The Catskill Mountains". We hike, and camp in this region of upstate New York often. We've been wanting to take our bikes up there and ride/ climb to the base right outside of Woodstock, NY. Check it out! I hope you all enjoy.

Good video, i enjoyed watching it.

I love the transition at 0:30 sec, the music kicking in really adds to the effect.

Thanks for sharing.

The composition of this photo is way out of balance. The handlebars should be 2.037mm farther to the right.

Consider the bar for this thread raised. You're like nzkiddo posting in the "Show us your SS/FG". Making everyone else look like chumps.

Yesterday was extremely windy and overcast, but I went for a ride anyway of course. Had the entire Devil's Slide path all to myself... practically unheard of on a weekend, normally teeming with hikers.

Ridden the trail quite a few times before already, but stopped and read all the info signs for the first time... some cool history.

looks rad, long and no cars

this island has 4 bridges and you can only ride on one of them, but not for the foreseeable future because theyre raising the entire thing for cargo ships
