Anyone in the area who wants a D2R2-like ride a couple of weeks before the big event is welcome to participate in our gravel gran fondo. Caution: no support. Here is the website: https://sites.google.com/view/notchviewg3/home

Also posting this invitation on the gravel bike forum.

For those who have never done D2R2, I highly recommend it. Don't know if you can still get in this year. If not, consider it for next year.

Not sure what's up with the link in the OP.

The OP wasn't a plug, per se, for the D2R2. Sorry if that wasn't clear. We are offering a PRE-d2r2 ride, two weeks before the main event for folks that want to try the same kind of riding in a slightly different place in the state. Ours isn't trying to replace the other ride, just complement it. Ours is no-frills but free, with donations accepted to support a Nordic ski patrol.

We have no registration process except to visit a Facebook event page and indicate "going" if you want to come. Without some clue of who's coming we're not likely to provide even minimal support (cue sheets and post-ride drinks) for very many people.

Visit our website for more details. The link is in the original post.

Thanks.

P.S. They are still taking registrations for the D2R2. See here: https://www.bikereg.com/d2r2

I need some feedback please. Our gravel ride produced no interested participants. What could we do differently if we were to try this again?
