I'm with Bat, I've gotten used to ignoring the stickies and just noticed this thread!
I don't have anything to share that isn't actively being used, since I tend to only replace things when they're destroyed. However, I'm planning an upgrade soon and will be happy to share...but the parts will be low-end and 15 years old.
EDIT: Also, I assumed the thread was about stories about how we've gotten help *while* commuting and paid it forward (we ahve threads to that effect from time to time). A slightly more descriptive title might help too.

You are a generous guy. Kudos to you! I don't need any of that stuff but I am sure you are going to make someone really happy.

Don't be disheartened... the concept of PAY IT FORWARD takes a minute to catch on.... I think there will be an increase as the weather improves.

I have a couple of things that someone might get some use from. I bought a mountain stem for my commuter but ended up with the wrong one. The one pictured is a Specialized Rockhopper Stem, 1 1/8 Dia. x 150mm x 24 deg rake. My old Rockhopper Comp has a 1" headtube. I ended up finding what I needed.
Also, a used Graber fork mount, a Shimano BB-UN53 122.5 x 68 tapered (new but the box is beat up), and a nice set of Tire Savers. I have a set of Tire Savers on my "82 Raleigh. I'm always getting comments!
There are a couple of things I'd like to find that are old school:
My old Raleigh has a braze-on for a Rhode Gear Flickstand. This is the one that did not need the strap. Also I'm looking for a Specialized Mountain Cage (the plastic one).
Maybe a trade? Anyway, the stuff I have is free if you pay shipping. I'll find the cheapest shipping method I can. If you are in Kansas City, I'll bike it to you for free! Ha!

I have some blue Specialized bar tape up for grabs. It's a very vibrant blue that matches this saddle, which clashed with the blue on my bike so I've never used it. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...jsp?spid=44008
Please PM me just in case I forget to check this thread again. Continental 48 states, please.
billyz has claimed the bar tape

This one IS more suited to commuters, not so much the "project bike" guys...
I have a kickstand of the older design which bolts onto the left side of the rear triangle, just in front of the axle. Road-bike type frame only.

I have two 27 x 1-1/4 tires that I only used for 12 miles. They're just too wide to easily pass my brakes when I want to remove the wheels, so I moved to 27 x 1's.
These tires are Specialized Tri-Sport, marked as 32-630 as well. They have black sidewalls that also say they're made in Taiwan and 100 PSI max.
Anybody in the Cleveland area could just pick them up or I might be able to deliver.

I have a 16t freewheel that is brand new...it just happens to be a bit to high of a gear for my area

Yikes! ALREADY GONE - 1 pair of Endura Strike Gloves. Size medium. Just a little too small. Good for a guy about 5'7" or 5'8" with average sized hands. Here's a link. Since they are last year's model, the pads in the palm are actually black which I think looks a little less goofy. You'll need to pay shipping. Very good quality gloves and I really like them. You can go an easy hour in a downpour and your hands will stay dry and warm.
GONE TOO! - 1 Mirrycle Road Mirror. Brand new and used 1 time. Couldn't return it since I lost some of the packaging. Vibrates a little too much for me. Then again, I ride on pretty crappy roads. You pay shipping. All put together but I don't have the mounting instructions. Very simple to do and I can talk you through it. Works on Tiagra and 105 STI levers without a shim. I don't have the shims any more. Here's a link.

I'm in.
Up for grabs:
One brand new SKS Shockboard front suspension dirtboard. I've even got the mounting kit.
One Take a Look Cycling Eyeglass Mirror.
I'll take the shipping in the Lower 48 USA and work with anyone else.
Let's spread the Karma by saying one item per taker.
Thanks!
