BB Spacer question
My wife's touring bike has external BB bearings and her drivetrain is a Rohloff. I am going to install a SKS Chainguard that is attached behind the BB.
My question is it currently has 1 "plastic" spacer. In order to maintain the exact same chainline I have a metal spacer that along with the Chainguard will = the "plastic" spacer. Is it a problem to have metal as opposed to plastic?
Thanks!

Short answer - it’ll be fine.
Long answer - it may eventually depend a bit on which metals the bike will have in direct contact with each other, and the environment the bike is used in.
There are some combinations of metals that will gall, seize or corrode/erode something outright wicked.
