I usually don't pay attention to stuff on CL over a grand, but good lord. (I'm almost positive I've seen posts about this specific restoration on C+V, by the way)

A "spare no expense" effort was made making certain this build was done to the highest standard possible.
Consumables (brake pads, cables, housing, bar tape, etc.) and Soma rims/spokes are modern. The Mafac calipers have been rebuilt with Rene Herse (Compass Cycles) hardware. Other components were specifically sought out and have seen very little use, if not NOS. However, the chain and saddle have survived for decades and have loads of life still left in them..
The bicycle is currently located in Corvallis but there is potential for delivery in Portland.

It is, but it's at least perhaps a little easier (or a lot) when it's your own bike and you know how it got that way. That and you know how well all the components operate, so simply cleaning it is just a cosmetic exercise and nothing more .

this looks like a gorgeous city bike- and has a Bridgestone Kilmatic indexed deraileur (made by Suntour) which looks super cool, and I've rarely seen here.

Bianchigirll I did give the seller a heads up that copy and paste from websites isnt the way to go. He thought it was a La Biciclissima model.

Biplane fork suggests pretty early, so I'd say "early '80s" is accurate. The "weathering" doesn't look that bad, at least it appears intact/complete. Seller has to post pics bigger than a postage stamp, however.
