I need cheap sunglasses
I find that going downhill my eyes start watering and I'm squinting half the time.
Are there any cheap sunglasses that work well at speed and have lasted you well?
Or I guess "quality" brands that you would recc?

Look for Aoron brand sunglasses on Ebay. They are very nice quality and very inexpensive.

Go out and get yourself some thick, black frames with the glass so dark they won't even know your name.

How well they work at speed is going to be a matter of the shape of your face vs the shape of the glasses, something that no one else will be able to answer for you. It's probably not something that you want to sort out online, either, unless you're okay with the prospect of dragging out the process a week or two with shipping and returns. I'd probably go someplace with a decent variety of options and price points, like an REI (the usually have the aforementioned Tifosi and many others) where you can see what fits your noggin and, hopefully, be done with it in a day.

I own several styles from Performance that are inexpensive and work well.
But they sit on a shelf since I won a pair of Oakley Flak 2.0 in an online contest last summer.

Tifosi Roubaix Interchangeable Lens Sunglasses
The glasses come with 3 interchangeable lenses, a soft and hard storage case, and the nose bridge is adjustable. They're really great glasses for the money.
If that's too spendy for you, just go down to Kohls/Target or whatever and shop the $10 sunglasses rack, they also work (but usually fall apart after a season in my experience). Others recommend going to Lowes/Home Depot and buying some tinted safety glasses, not tried them but they look fine also.

Have tried several different cycling glasses (multi-lens) from Tifosi, Sette, Smith.
My favorite so far are these from Perf Bike: Scattante Mestre Multi-Lens Eyewear
They are a bit bulkier than some others I've tried so that took a little getting used to. They stay firmly in place though. No venting so good for cold temps. Lenses aren't hard to change but they take effort to pop in and out.
Have used them for a year of both road and mtb riding and they are like new. With some other brands the nose pieces have fallen apart, the rubber on the temples has come off. None of that with these so far.

My sunglasses are prescription so cheap for me is ~$100. I've had good luck with the Liberty (brand) Biker (style) glasses. They're designed for motorcyclists I guess, but they check all the same boxes I look for in cycling glasses.

These work well for me, maybe they'll fit you. They're safety glasses, and also come in clear.

+ whatever on Tifosi. They are inexpensive (especially if you catch the right sale at Performance)...but not cheap.
Good find on the Sierra TP link as well.

I know that song.
Seriously any shades that fit your face will do, just make sure they have UV protection. I wear them training, running, racing and driving. When riding they help your face relax and by association your neck ,shoulders and so on. Also in really bright sun and heat , they trick your mind into thinking it's not as hot as it really is. They keep bugs and flying debris from hitting your eyes. Kenny Souza a top duathlete in the 90s credit his Oakleys for saving one of his eyes in a bad bike crash.
Cheap sunglasses from walmart or the most expensive ones from the LBS, just get you some.

That's the issue, people get inexpensive and cheap confused all to often. I have Uvex glasses that I got on sale. I think I paid $50 (inexpensive) for them. I love them and can definately tell the difference in those and a pair of cheap glasses.

For those needing prescription sunglasses --- I have a variation of these: https://www.eyebuydirect.com/prescri...i-black-p-5740. More specifically, I have a pair with blue lenses and a pair with red lenses, not the grey shown, and mine are NOT polarized. What I bought is not currently available, apparently.
Can't beat them for $49 (I paid the same price as the grey pair shown). The front lens rotates up to allow easy cleaning of the prescription insert and the inside of the colored lens. I've also flipped it up when unexpectedly caught it a downpour, which was an unexpected bonus. I've ridden them for many hours, and they still look like new. The red and blue ones I have are mirrored - almost - someone can see the prescription insert behind them only if the light is "just right".
The next time you get a prescription, have them write it down for you along with your PD (pupillary distance). With these figures, you can order glasses online. The markup on prescription frames and lenses is f***ing ridiculous, a BIG profit item, so don't be surprised if you're NOT treated nicely when you request this information.

I would also recommend the safety glasses. There are a lot of brands and styles to choose from and not too expensive.
