Yushin...anybody
I see the ads here lately...anybody actually buy any of their stuff? I won't be but wonder if anybody has any input on that stuff....the prices seem insanely low compared to, well, everybody else.

when i was looking at wheels and considered carbon... they were my choice.
i think 2 people replied from here and they were both satisfied with their wheels.
although, there is one guy that posted who ordered from a diff chinese site said his hubs didn't last very long. it's relevant bec yishun uses the same chosen brand hubs. but i guess like every assembly line product... there will be some issues here and there.

I'd like to know too, wasn't there a group buy from here a while ago? Seems there should be lots of opinions.

Member tonyjaja has something to do with this company. You can find him with a search.
My gut feeling is it's an OEM company looking to increase it's direct to consumer market.
EDIT: Looks like tonyjaja got banned for some reason - probably illegal commercial promotion but that is just a guess.

I bought some Yishin carbon clinchers. Yushin, not sure if they are the same.
Wheels have been good, only issue I get is the spokes seem to lose tension too quickly...

Now I know many people like bikes here, but enough to flog your stuff on BF, that's a little crazy. Sure, mild caressing, maybe, but
Seriously, setting aside tonyjaja's ban, do you have any direct experience with test bob?

I have a pair of Yishun wheels (got them in the Bikeforums group buy they ran) - love them.
Fantastic value for light, moderately-aero carbon wheels. They are my daily-riding wheels on my road bike (race wheels are HED Stinger 6s), and I've put a lot of miles on them on crappy Asian roads and they are still going strong and absolutely true. Oh, and they've also survived - without any structural or cosmetic damage - my laying the bike down at 52kph and later trying to start riding with the RD in the spokes.
As an added bonus, they look sharp (a photo of me on the bike made a national outdoors magazine, in no small part due to the photographer loving those wheels) - of course, no one on 41 except me cares about that
Did I mention what a great deal those wheels are? I'm gonna be buying a pair of light tubulars from them soon.

I got the 50mm clinchers - white spokes, red hubs. If I recall correctly, Stefano had given some options re rim size, as well as spoke and hub colors in the group buy. The wheels appear to be handmade by someone who knows what he is doing.

So, I went to order the wheels... I hadn't considered the shipping cost. Plus there is the $33 increase for the use of paypal. That effectively adds almost $200 to the price of the wheels. Still not a bad price, but at roughly $5-600 I can take a gamble. At closer to $7-800 I need to think about it a bit more. I'll probably still pull the trigger, but something to consider.
One shipping option is EMS, which is cheaper. I don't care who delivers something to me, as long as it gets here. Is there a reason to avoid them versus DHL?

I replied in another thread but will add to this one since it is new.
I have a set of Yishun 60mm Carbon Tubulars. They are about a year and half old. I have numerous races on them; mostly crits.
Extremely satisfied and get lots of complements on them. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will probably purchase from them again.

I have a set of 60mm Yishun clinchers. They have remained true, although they are somewhat heavy ~1700g. Coach Boyd pointed out in another post that they have a metal strip along the spoke bed to prevent nipples from being pulled through, which is probably why they weigh more.
My biggest issue with them is the lowered brake track, which can be an issue with some brakes. The calipers are not always long enough to reach the track. Not bad wheels for the money though.
I think if I had to buy another set today, I would look at the chinese wheels with the basalt braking surface (no lowered track) and they are very light (50mm clinchers @~1300g).
