It's a summer weight balaclava.

Atlanta isn't the tropics and I've started rides in the low 20's. It gets plenty cold here and I've no interest in bronchitis again.

Still, people down here are pretty adverse when it comes to cold. It will be 34° at 10:00 AM this Saturday and people are cancelling rides on the local message boards. I think they are mostly afraid of ice. Southerners don't do ice.

I bought some 600 Tricolor STI levers, rear derailleur, a Campy front derailleur, cranks and seat post with two wheels laced to Campy hubs for $20. The stuff is in pretty decent condition, a little rust here and there but mostly surface stuff and everything is reasonably functional. The STIs were flushed with TriFlow and seem to be working just fine. All in all not bad though the seat post is a 25 and I am having to drill out the Campy dust caps but hey for $20 : )

Oh yeah and I bought one of those Swift Ozette Rando Bags and some sweet patches to adorn it so I can commute in style and stop carrying a back pack on my FG Rando Cross.

You can get rid of the rust by letting the parts soak in vinegar btw

I'm sure you are real nice and have no doubt that someone special is out there waiting just for a person just like you to come into their life.

The stem however, is tempting. I have exactly the same. If it was 100 I'd take it.

A saddlepole to go with the new, shiny 105 bits for my Surly. I bought the matching bars and stem when I bought the 105 bits. As soon as I have both the new pole and the required free time in my possession I will spend some intimate time with Surly Jane, a box of parts, and a box of tools. I'll be sure to post photos after I'm done.

/hmm... my bottle cages don't match one another...

I might give that a go for anything that is still rusty enough. Most of it was able to be removed in the parts washer but there is still a touch left here and there. Mainly I would have to get some white vinegar because while I have at least 8 different vinegars none of them are white because I don't cook with sh¡te vinegar

I am hoping I can get the other side of the Campy cranks off so I can use it on my "beater" bike that I am building (1x7 hybrid) with old parts that I have found in parts bins or gotten cheaply.

You shop at whole foods? Sellout, I only buy my vinegar from artists that have only practiced the craft of vinegar since they were able to walk. You probably wouldn't have heard of them

Will do. It's in a rack in the family room, got stripped and have started building it back up at the rate of about one component a day. Lol

Ha I only buy vinegar that has been aged for 200+ years and whose family had been making vinegar for at least 400 years before that and that family has to have had serious ties to regal families and that family is not making new product. However when I clean around the house I use 1800s Chateau Lafite that I open and let turn.
