I will not ship from a prior knuckle head returning
the unit 2 weeks later because he didn't want to use
it anymore. I will ONLY ship if using paypal gift do
to prior buyer remorse.
...which is understandable, if not so easy to read

Now $400.

Frame stripped save for FD. Could it be it "Comes with Dura-ace clamp on front derailleur" because the seller couldn't get it off?

PEUGEOT vintage racing road bike - $1777 (Richmond)

Seems like such a bargain for a Reynolds 501 frame. Nice picture of the tubing decal. Too bad there's none of the actual bike.

For at $1,777 you could bother to inflate the tires.

It would be more palatable if a complete same model weren't for sale across town for $350

Is ANY offer of a cashiers check safe to dismiss as a scam?

This could be one of those "treasure hunt" games - "Find all the WW qualifiers in this ad" - only thing missing is the wino bars. But the one that causes a visual double-take has got to be a first:

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...935273445.html

Miyatta Americana vintage racing bike - $120 (Northside)

A most unique rack mounting system! He mounted it backwards and bolted the reflector bracket on the bike to the reflector bracket on the rack. The crazy thing is it actually lines up quite nicely. I guess he needed the "air dam" effect it provided to keep the rear tire planted at high speeds.

You'd be surprised how often this used to occur.

Nah, after some of the things I've seen done I probably wouldn't LOL. This is one of the less scary ones and I can kind of understand the thought process that took place but some of the things people do to bikes would make even Rube Goldberg speechless. I'm sure we've all encountered some of it. Surely there's already a "WTH?!" thread on here, if not we need one.

Yes. A check is a check, and all can be counterfeit.

I love this ad....

https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/bo...940818909.html

If you ride with this jersey, Hell’s Angels and Banditos will bow down to you. Satan will cower in fear and the heavens will bellow enchanted horns. It will increase your speed 129% without even having to pedal. It is a size xl but fits more like a large. Maybe even a medium. I would keep it, but its powers are beyond anything I can handle. I will pass it on to you, if you promise to use it wisely. Email me right meow with a number to text.

I don't often post on this forum but couldn't help but share this ad. The sheer audacity to ask for 450 English pounds for this bike blows me away!

The guy states there is no option for a rear brake (implying it is a track bike); there's no brake bridge at all! Presumably it came off when he shoved a 130mm rear wheel between the dropouts

Really grinds my gears when bikes get advertised as track bikes (at a premium price) when they're just shoddy fixed gear conversions of gas pipe road frames

Looks original. I've seen a few of these donated to our local co-op - available to members at less than 1% of this seller's asking price.
