Used Roubaix

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Used Roubaix

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place to post this. I'm looking for a used bike for a friend and came across this:
https://tucson.craigslist.org/bik/d/...856904816.html

From the picture, can anyone identify what year/model this bike is? What would you think is an appropriate price for it?

Thanks!

I'd say an '08 or '09. Asking is too high. Although it was (still is) a nice bike, it's actual value is (sadly for the seller/good news for you) closer to $350-450.

$800 is way too high a price. That frame design is good for group rides and all day trekking. Not a race machine by any means, more of a day touring machine. I think 350-400 is about right provided the shifting is up to snuff. If it ain't the fix could be simple and cheap or very expensive.
