FS: 2006 Pinarello Galileo
For sale, a 2006 Pinarello Galileo frameset (frame/fork/headset/seatpost). Components shown in the photos are being moved over to my Montello today.
I bought the frameset on ebay in late 2017, and have ridden the bike a grand total of 175 miles. It's just a little too big for me to really be comfortable on it. It has some nicks and dings in the paint here and there, and one minor divot in the seatpost but is' really in pretty nice shape. The main triangle and chainstays are aluminum, but the seat stay is a carbon Onda monostay and the fork is a full carbon Onda as well. Those Onda bits are apparently identical to the ones found on the same vintage high end Pinarellos.
I didnt put much mileage on it, and have no other aluminum ride time for comparison, but it did ride pretty smoothly, and seemed stiff to me (but I've got all my miles on old steel or titanium). Seemed too nice a frame to relegate to the trainer so it's up for sale.
$325 + shipping (or come see it and pick it up in person in NJ (or environs)
If there's interest in it, I'll get some more photos once I have the rest of the components taken off (so far, the only thing removed is the crankset/bottom bracket)
Catalog page (2007)
First ride (late 2017)

I measured the head tube at 152mm, which makes this the 54 (that's 54cm C-C from BB to top tube, not the extention above it). I'm 5'8" with a 29-30" inseam, and you can see how I have it set up. My problem with it is that the bars are around an inch, or more, higher than I'd like them. -17 stem wouldn't get it done. I'd probably need a -30. My primary bike is a 54c-t with 54.5 top tube (Litespeed Classic) so the length is okay, standover is a bit tight, but the tall bars are the deal breaker. I estimate the standover height at right around 80cm (my primary bike is 78.6 per the catalog)

I am still in but something just occurred to me. I don't know if this would interest you but I have a set of excellent Kreitler rollers I'd swap. If not I will just sell them but thought I'd ask. Bearings were checked at my LBS and they are perfect and I put a new belt on them.
