Welcome home Matt!
As some of you may know, @northbend (Matt) has been on an epic cross-country bike ride from Washington to Washington - DC to Northbend. Just saw his Flickr pix, he's safely home with his lovely wife.
In this the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, where as a kid I watched and listened daily, sitting on the edge of the sofa during liftoff, landing, and return to earth, I have to admit I had just a tad of the same feeling watching his progress across America. Seeing a pic with him home, a part of me can relax now.
Whatta journey!
His Flickr pix journal.

Oh wow- he went E to W? I didnt realize that until the 2nd page of pics where there is a goodbye KS sign and a welcome to CO sign. Just before, seeing the RAAM participant riding in the other direction probably should have helped me realize it too.
Rocked a C&V frame with DT shifting too!
Fantastic pics. Ive read often that the repetition and isolation of such a long journey is too much for many. Cool that he met up with a bunch of people randomly thru the trip to keep the experiences more social and to break up the repetition.

I too, recently, faced the challenge of a trans-continental journey. Middle seat of a red eye flight from LAX to Dulles. Conditions were cramped, the window seat lady would not close the window shade making sleep even more difficult. I did not have a pillow.
Congrats Matt; well done and welcome home!
