Nice shoes. Be sure to check the bolts holding the walking pads frequently. They like to come lose, and of course I lost one already.

Picked up a stock crabon fiber Felt 27.2 seatpost on the bay for a steal.

They do have some issues. I had to "notch" the rubber pads to clear the pedals on mine. I've heard about people using spacers as well.

Highly rated at Bike Light Database but I'd love to hear your experience on charge/burn time, if it throws enough light for seriously fast riding in suburbia, etc.

I'm looking at the Urban 850 and would really like to combine it with the Vis 360+ helmet mounted lamp for summertime night cruising.

Love my light and motion for its awesome beam pattern/brightness, but the battery stinks and it heats up quite a bit. Lacks vents.

Can you flush out the adjective "stinks" a bit? Do you mean that it has an odor?

And are the new pedals for the Rush? Giving up on the 520's?

He probably means it doesn't last long, but I bet you figured that. With big bright lamps like that expect to charge them. They aren't little handlebar blinkies.

Battery only lasts about an hour and a half on high for the 800, but I don't think I'll be needing high unless I'm descending. I usually keep the magicshine clone I have now on low unless I'm going over 25mph because most of the streets I ride have streetlights.

L&M make awesome lights in the US and have awesome customer service, I have basically gotten two free lights from them due to a button on their old Vis 180 micro taillight falling off after some rough riding, so I they sent me a replacement light (and I got to keep the old light). Then I asked if I could send in the old ones and upgrade to the vis 180 and it was awesome.

I would say the 800 is a bit overkill for most road riding but it will throw some good light but because of size there are battery limitations and maybe not enough cooling (though that is the case I think with many high powered small packaged lights)

In regards to the light getting warm...this is a bonus feature for winter riding - instant hand warmer!

It actually does have a slight odor when it heats up. But what I meant was that the battery doesn't last long when compared to Cygolites.

The new pedals are for the road bike, which used to also have 520s, which is a big no no

Didn't buy from them but they do have nice photos:

as well as some stuff for the new touring bike and a Nitto seatpost and IRD freewheel for the Cilo!

Wanted to do a little love on the drivetrain on the Langster and I had bought a DID Track blah blah blah chain a while back just in case and now my old chain is getting a wee bit worn and the whole thing is a touch noisy so I thought "go for it, you ride it a bunch so it is money well drained"

Bye bye money in the bank!

Decided to go with the Patriotic theme and purchased the wheels off CL, new ring, changed the cable housing from black to white, had NOS Bennotto blue tape and installed. Just installed fix sprocket and lock ring, also swapped pedals and purchased cleats for them.

yup. im officially calling them chicken nuggets

the circular part in the middle fits over the end of the bar, then theres a screw on the bottom that clamps down like a lock-on grip
