How to know if the bike fits?
I am going to pick up my bike in a couple hours. From what I understand the LBS will attempt to "fit" the bike to me. Any recommendations for what I should consider for the "fitting"? What is considered something that should be adjusted versus something that is just uncomfortable because I am not used to it yet? I want to trust the LBS, but I also want to be educated so I can ask the right questions of them.

I think stand over clearance is critical. That's the distance between the top bar of the bike and your nads. You need at least an inch clearance if you plan on having kids or keeping a low voice.

Maybe it's a SHE??? LOL...They hopefully will know the correct frame size and geometry works best for you... let them fit you then sit and maybe ride it around a bit to see if you feel good about the bike... if you have doubts or don't really feel good about the bike for whatever reason tell them right then... Give them honest first impression...What you are gonna use the bike for, how often you will ride, where, hol long at the time, color seat...etc.... If you feel good about the bike and you like the way it feels and the way it rides then you are more apt to ride it and get what you want out of it.

Picked the bike up. Seemed to fit me just fine. Now let the riding begin!

to me the most important size is the length of the virtual top tube, more than how high. I like my handlebars at about my seat height, relaxed and balanced.
