Love for Jamis Satellite?
So a Jamis Satellite Femme followed me home the other day. It is a 2010 model. Cro-moly frame and fork. Shimano Sora. Wow, What an amazing ride. It was very smooth and precise. My main ride was a 2005 Specialized Roubaix carbon frame but I think this ride surpasses that. Even the shifting was quick and precise. It just felt so nice. Am I crazy?

Very nice! The ride quality is courtesy of a steel frame. I find steel to be a nice ride all the way around.

Not sure why you would be crazy.
A bike will be smooth and precise because of any of the following- quality tires, frame material, frame geometry, fork geometry.
If you like the Jamis more than the Roubaix, its most likely due to one or more of the mentioned reasons. Just a single degree of angle difference can make a bike feel good or bad for a specific rider. Or 10mm of difference in trail can be the difference between a bike that feels precise and a bike that wanders for a specific rider.
Enjoy it and dont think twice about it being a lower groupset or whatever.

I had a Satellite in 2009 as my first modern road bike. It did ride very smoothly, looked great and handled well but the wheelset kept breaking spokes and I didn't like the Sora shifters. I also impulsively bought a cyclocross bike in late 2009 that I liked better so I sold it the following year to a college student, set up the upgraded wheels for my cross bike and never looked back. Jamis bikes are good value and I'd seriously consider a Quest or Aurora if I was bike shopping.

Oh that video is hillarious. I have heard about the wheels. I have a set of Neuvations I could put on it and some 28mm Continentals and be happy. It's the Femme model and that doesn't even make a difference to me. And yes, it is a pretty color.
I'm aware I may be crazy. Contact my primary care provider for access to my medical records.

The color is actually prettier than the stock photo shows. It's a green pearl color. Shown here with Neuvation wheelset I put on.
