I have found, interestingly, that if you are riding, not just pedaling, every ride is an experience, even if you ride the same route every day.

maybe,......but even better if you have a dozen or so bikes to ride on similar routes. A different one every fortnight would be good.

There ain't no maybe. Now, having a few interesting bikes would liven things up, but not necessary. Every ride is unique in and of itself and a unique experience even if on the same bike, on the same route, every day. That's riding.

I would like to build some modern bikes and some C&V like DMC707's Raleigh Competition from the seventies, but I am stuck on my old Shwinn Varsity with the aluminum frame that I reworked.Because it is unpretentious. That is why I love it, strictly utilitarian. Can't explain it.

Can you figure out why the presence of the Coronavirus would mean an increase in cicyling, a significant increase? I can't figure the connection.

Yellow to clear coat over fibre. This style frame goes back to Craig Calfee's experience with carbon fibre structures and his CarbonFrames designs. Refined over years. Raced by Greg Lemond at some TdF stages in a later (winning) year.

As to glow in the dark - Left coast April '20 is a month to glow. And ride.

Did the same ride again this morning and it was even better then the ride which was the reason for the OP. Got my butt up early and caught the sunrise. The air is clean and crisp that time of morning and there is hardly anyone on the bike path. During the summer months it is the only time to ride.It is the only time it is cool. You have to do this. Find some ride that has a good sunrise, get up and go ride into it. Everyone of them is different. You won't regret it.

Just over 20 miles from Northwest San Fernando Valley down to the Orange Line Bike Path. The bike path was nearly deserted, making social distancing no problem. Very enjoyable ride on tne 2002 Allez. Rain coming this weekend ... again.

if it matters, they used to have a sticker = Tour de France Proven. Mine is on the seat tube. Not sure if every model wears it or just the olderTetra, probably the current top models.

This is where everyone is missing it. You write about a ride on a certain route on a certain day and how it was then you think that route is done because you already wrote about it. You can write about the same ride along the same route the next day or a few days later and tell how this ride was totally different and a totally different experience. I rode the same route again this morning that I always ride. There at a railroad signaling station on top of a small receiving tower was a huge I believe Golden Eagle. just sitting up there like he owned the place. So I started to move to get him to take off because I wanted to see his wing span. So he took off and his wing span was a good 5 - 6 feet. It was unbelievable.
