Help diagnosing a minor creak
Any suggestions on how to diagnose a very minor creak I get on my left side when pedaling on the down stroke in the 7-8 o'clock position? The creaking is coming from the area where the crank connects to the bottom bracket. It occurs under minor to heavy load (eg, pedaling 60+ RPMs). My bike is a relatively new (bought in March) Cevelo R5 with Dura Ace cranks and Kogel Bearings. The drive train is super clean and lubed. I also greased the spindle on the rear skewer and made sure the QR handle is nice and tight.
Should I first loosen and then re-tighten the bolts on the left crank arm? If that doesn't eliminate the noise then remove the cranks and re-lube everything? And if that doesn't doesn't eliminate it then does the bottom bracket need to be adjusted?

Might be a pedal See if you can replicate without riding. Stand on the pedals. Try to narrow it down.
Could be the saddle.
Sometimes they take ages to figure out.
Pressfit bb?

Do the cheap and easy things first. A pedal swap, preferably with platform pedals to eliminate shoe/cleat noise (clean and grease the threads first) is quick and easy.
