Is this Junk or OK ??
See pix: 1985 Super Cat early BMX left behind when a neighbour moved out.
Any idea if anyone would want one of these ??
Appears to be in scathingly brilliant condition, except for a bit of dust.

That isn't one of the bikes I was dreaming of in 1985 but it's in great condition, it's hard to believe it's that old. I don't know the brand but looking at the parts it looks lower end.

I was surprised by the age too but I went to the BMX Museum website and found a few Super Cats.
In Tennessee you do not get very many SuperCycle bikes.
SuperCycle is the house brand of Canadian Tire Corporation - a big coast-to-coast Canadian department store chain with automotive and seasonal wares.
CTC sold a zillion bikes back in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s but did not have any bike factories so they got their SuperCycle bikes built in Canada, Japan and Europe by companies like BeeKay, Bridgestone, Puch, and Tano, (or any other of a list of Japanese companies), or whoever had the idle capacity.
Now, of course, everything comes from China.

i'd ask 250 since its in such great survivor condition- i'd probably do it through ebay too. Your chances of finding the right buyer go up there----- locally it may not sell quick at 250 if its not a Mongoose/GT/Diamondback etc, but there is a guy out there who had one back in the day who wants it now for his man cave

Muchas Gracias ---- just have to find the right guy ---- Heck, if i came across a survivor condition gold Team Murray 330 model from the late 70's , i'd pay a few bucks for it - it was my first bike, but is likely worthless to most folks .
I found one on ebay in great shape but the seller wants $850 --- there is a big difference between pricing stuff just a smidgen high, -- or pricing stuff after you've been on an ether and alcohol binge

It's an antique among bmx bikes, but unfortunately for the kids.. No one from Pros will buy it, unless he is sentimental about Supercat from his childhood.. Bike was popular in the mid of 80s, and if want to sell it, i would make an offer on Canadian market, because Supercycle is Canadian brand.. Try on canadiantire.ca!

30 years old but a survivor and not abused.
I found the original seat --- and posted the bike in the BMX category on the local Buy 'n' Sell.
I got a nice condescending reply from a Canadian Tire employee who offered to take it off my hands for very little money -- and who said that the only reason he was interested at all was because he was a Canadian Tire employee.
I politely told him that he was under no obligation to do me any favours.
Anyway, I did attract one of those people you mentioned who is apparently "sentimental about Supercat from his childhood" and who is willing to give it a good home in exchange for some portraits of famous Canadians.

Bravo! Like i mentioned - i'd give significant coin for a replica of my childhood bike too -- glad it worked out
