Copper Harbor Mountain Bike Trails

Any of you been there? I was there 2 years ago but didn’t have a good day to ride them. We are going back and this time will be camping at Copper Harbor with a full week to ride and see sights with my wife.

There are awesome trails ranging from casual to technical to wild. I’m a 62yr old roadie that enjoys the MTB thrills with a ‘97 Trek 7000 full rigid. I love single tracks, bridges and boardwalks but draw the line at the big jumps. Looking forward to riding “On The Edge” as seen on youtube.

I wouldn't be riding copper harbor with a '97 Trek 7000 is all I can say.

You sound like you have been there? The Trek 7000 is capable of most trails and will be all the bike I need. It’s going to be a fun and challenging week.

Please do report back with where you camped and suggestions on trails to ride. I've been wanting to get up that way for a while..haven't made it yet.

Just rode a good route this morning. Started with “The Edge”, Woopidy Woo, Garden Brook and finished with Bullwinkle. The Edge is a thrill ride. Lots more to do in the next several days.

The ‘97 Trek 7000 full rigid, aluminum frame bike is not for everybody but I love the snappy handling. The bike did remarkably well on the day.

Thanx! If you are in the Upper, this is a trail destination with Sugar Loaf in Marquette running a close second. Copper Harbor is among the top 5 in the world (so they say). Green trails, Blue trails, Double Black Diamond, trails that will challenge and thrill. I want to go back.
