Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There are lots of circumstances where it's totally legal for a pedestrian to cross the street in the middle of a block. But he was obviously stupid for not looking both ways before crossing. And there appears to be no excuse for the cyclist's stupid behavior.

And who said two wrongs don't make a right?

Reminds me of when I plowed into the school bully while bombing down a hill when I was in 5th grade. Guy hated me all through high school lol.

It's a one way street. The only stupid person there was the dirtbag on the bike.

It would have been just as funny for me if the pedestrian wasn't fat. Ok maybe just a tiny bit less funny. but still laugh out loud funny.

anyway, i'm not saying it isn't funny because it is. but getting a laugh with this video is just picking the low hanging fruit. show some people farting and it is just as hilarious.

I was more impressed on how the pedestrian immediately bounced up, right after being grounded.

I'm guessing the guy was a bike messenger. Had a piece of paper in his right hand and was looking hard at the building to the right just before noticing the pedestrian. Also, he did an awfully good job of remaining upright while making a panic stop into the rather large pedestrian. That indicates a fixie who lives on a bike in traffic many hours every day and has likely had any number of such collisions with people and vehicles. He was breaking the law and arrogant in his response. What a putz...

No, it would have been laugh-out-loud funny if the pedestrian was built like an NFL defensive lineman and he clotheslined the cyclist.

That would have been laugh-out-loud funny.

Because that's what the cyclist deserved.
