Wifey got her a new road bike today

After seeing my speed and excitement on my Allez, Mrs. Copswithguns took the plunge and bought a Specialized Dolce, pictured below. Just gave it a 5 mile maiden voyage and all is well. It's nice to not have to slow down for her now (she was on a Schwinn hybrid with 38c tires)

Kinda sucks that she got a carbon fork and 2400 components for $50 less than I paid for my Allez, but we're happy.

Congrats my man, nice ride. Just remember, when Mom's happy everybody's happy! Enjoy the riding time with her. It sure is nice to have a riding partner!

I have been riding with a friend, getting her ready to do a 50 miler. She started out on a comfort bike and it was frankly miserable for me as she was so slow! She got a new bike (Trek Domane 4.5) and boy what an improvement! Have fun with your spouse and hope she falls in love with the new ride!
