Tights for tall women?
Hi, I'm new here. I'm on the hunt for some cycling tights to wear when it's cooler here. It seems that all of them I see online list an inseam of about 30". Does anyone here know of a place to find tights made for tall women? I'm 6'0" and have long legs. Thanks for any recommendations you might have!

Plenty of men are 6 feet tall. Why won't regular tights work just because you're female?

All the tights I've ever seen and worn have been very stretchy. And many men are wider than women, if they're overweight. I really don't see what the problem is.

For tights, if you need to go with a mens size I would stay away from ones with built in padding. The padding is bound to be wrong for a womans anatomy. You can easily wear a set of riding shorts under the tights of you are going on longer rides, or ride without them on shorter rides. My commute is only 5 miles each way so I don't bother with riding shorts. Normal underwear is fine. On longer rides you need the extra protection and more strategically placed seams of riding shorts.
I can recommend the Illuminite tights. I like them because they are medium thickness. The tights are comfortable to about 40F freezing, yet are still comfy around 60F. These tights also are not very tight and super form fitting. I am not particularly comfortable walking around the school in super tight pants, these slightly looser fitting tights are just the ticket for me. For weather below freezing I add my rain pants as an extra wind breaker layer. One nice feature is the built in reflective material in the tights.
As others pointed out, give Lou a call at foxwear. He can hand make a pair of tights to your exact needs. I just bought an E-Vap coat from him and it is super comfortable. No more sweating in my wind breaker yet, I am still comfy down to 2F... extreamly flexable! Lou is a pleasure to do bussiness with and his prices are very reasonable. When it comes to shipping charges, he actually charges you what it costs. No $10 flat shipping charges only to find $0.93 of postage on the package.
Happy riding,
André

So how tall are you Ms Blue Wind? J/K Nurse of Ryan Lou at foxwear can make tights custom fit even if your legs are 8 ft long. Lou has mad sewing skillz. $39 for 250 Powerstretch. Good fabric for down to 15F. 400 g/m2 Wool is best for not retaining odor but not available custom made and 2x Price. Minus 33 is a good brand that sell womens sizes if they fit... $80

Boure does custom.
I have a pair of bibs using their Thermo material and I am very pleased.
You can get them with pad or without. I prefer a pad, many prefer to wear shorts
underneath. Your call. Their Elite pad is very good.

If you have a little sewing experience, tights are very easy to make - only two seams, really, and some elastic at the waist. Kwik Sew patterns have the best instructions, but for such a simple item you could go with Jalie, Green Pepper, Stretch & Sew, Storm Mountain, Daisy Kingdom... no doubt even the Big Three have tights patterns buried in their catalogs somewhere. Most patterns have lengthening and shortening lines on them.

Given a man and a woman of the same height, typically, the woman has longer legs. So tights that fit a 6'0" man could easily be too short for a 6'0" woman. Add the extra material taken up at the hips and it's easy for the tights to be too small.

Another fan of Foxwear here. Not only does Lou make great tights (my wife and I each have a pair), I have a very good rain jacket for cool/cold weather he made for me, and rain pants to match.

The only photo there that I find the least bit alluring is the one of the runner. The others don't seem athletic. They don't even seem like real people to me.

No, this is a thread about tights for tall women, not a thread for shut-ins to post pictures of women they find attractive.
There are plenty of places on the internet for you to look at photos of women's legs; this isn't one of them. Try to have some respect for the women who come here looking for information; they should be able to look up things without being harassed.
