2016 Specialized Sirrus Carbon Expert X1
Hey y'all. I just picked up this bike about a month ago and have been enjoying it since. I'm wanting to make a it a project and build on it a little. So far all that I've added is the set of Loaded Titanium pedals. Man they are light and the studs keep them stuck to your sole well. Though they do scrape up fairly easily. Anyways thanks for having me. Thought I'd share...

Look dark and nice.
Did you get it because of the one gear at the front?

Very nice looking. Congrats!
Not sure exactly what if anything you would need to change other than the uber-wide range cassette. Seems kind of superfluous.

I agree. I'm planning to upgrade to the complete SRAM Force 1 drive-train with the SRAM XG-1190 11-32t cassette. I really don't think I need those huge cogs down here in Houston....

That said, if it were me while I'd certainly be up for changing the cassette if I wanted different ratios, I'd leave the rest of the drivetrain alone until it wears out etc. and instead do something about the wheels. The Axis 2.0s are solid but heavy; putting money into a change there would make a far more noticeable difference than changing drivetrain parts.
However, you may already have thought this through -- in which case, just ignore me.

Awesome bike. I went from OEM platforms to clipless for awhile and switched over to Race Face Aeffect platforms a few weeks ago. Its been a much more satisfying ride since with no noticeable drop off in performance and no need for muscle memories and attention diversions

I will get this bike next time.
With only one gear at the front, when you change to high or low gear at the rear, does that lead to bad angle with the chain and its not good?

I liked your photo's so much I have quoted them again so everyone can see them again.
Don't be shy about posting further pics of any updates or just more shots of your bike.

My next bike I dont want to get that many gears. I will be happy with one front gear like this model. Is this the only hybrid bike with one front gear? I dont see anyone else make it.

Would the X1 or Expert be better suited for long rides?
