What’s in your emergency kit (besides tools)?

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

What’s in your emergency kit (besides tools)?

What’s in your emergency kit (besides tools)?

What do you carry on your off-grid, out of cell range rides? What is in your first aid kit? Do you carry a PLB, Spot, or satellite communicator?

I’ll start - for emergencies, I carry:
Fox 40 emergency whistle
Garmin Explorer+
Sawyer Mini-squeeze water filter
Benchmade mini-griptillian (small pocket knife)
Emergency blanket (winter rides)

In my first aid kit (roughly in order of use):
Nitrile rubber gloves (dual use for repairs, too)
Bleed-stop
Alcohol wipes
Antibiotic ointment
Cortizone ointment (REI sells small packets of both so you don’t need to carry a whole tube and it stays sterile)
Square gauze pads
Butterfly bandages
Tincture of benzoin vials (Again, REI adventure medical kit refills)
Assorted band-aids
Tegaderm sheets
Small Gauze roll
Small Paper tape roll
Elastic net for Arm/leg

I know that it is a lot but I carry a handlebar bag and it stays out of the way, and I have used nearly every item in my kit, either for myself of someone else that didn’t have what they needed.

What I carry is proportional to the level of risk and the availability of services. I leave the Garmin at home if I know I will be in cell range, and the first aid kit stays home if I know I have quick access to help. For rides in gnarly terrain deep in the forest, I carry the whole smash. What do you carry?

Tweezers, Toilet Paper, Zip Ties, Duct Tape wrapped around a square of cardboard. I am usually within 20 minutes of ambulance service. I am not shy about knocking on a nearby door if I have an emergency need beyond my kit. On large rides I have a big kit at the base with wound wash, bennaryl. sterile gauze, big bandages, mainly stuff for huge abrasions. Nitrile gloves.
