Years ago I'd run up river, fill the pack & run back.
Now I amble up, & stumble back, several breaks walking up the hill to the bike rack.
Guess I missed where you mentioned a beer cooler, or the designated pocket in your pack . As for the rod, I was thinking early/mid 70s'. I'm very envious right now, this would be my everyday activity until the run was over. To keep this bike related, could you go to a fat tire bike allowing you to fish longer into the cold season, are there any left overs or another fish once the flurries start?

Great Ideas !!

You can also check out the BIKE FISHERMAN..

It's affordable, super easy to install, and holds 2 spinning rods safely while you ride

Thinking about using my fat bike as a beach fishing cruiser. All fishing styles by bike. You can quietly ride up not spooking the fish.

Careful swinging you leg over your bike with a rod on the back. My buddy had to ride back to the car for my second rod after he broke his.

I'm always trying to figure out new ways to stay engaged with cycling. I was always a huge "fisherman" as a kid. Now that I live two miles from a heavily fish infested river now is the time to combine the two. Thanks for the idea.

There's also some bike fishing videos on the Path Less Pedaled Youtube channel, though they are mostly catch-and-release fly fishers.
