Resource For The Mylar Tape Used On Vintage Frames???
Been a long time since I've been here on BikeForums, I picked up this Mercier a while back and I'm in the process of giving it a refresh.
I'm looking for that mylar based tape that's frequently used to define the border between paint and chrome on the rear stays.
Is it available ANYWHERE?

You can ping velocals.com. I got the small world champion stripes with a Holdsworth set I purchased from them two years ago.

Then again, JR might have those made and in stock as they go with many decal sets.
Speaking of which, I need to ping him about another potential decal set

I think that you will have trouble applying those thick vinyl stickers to tapered tubes. The ends will come together at an angle. The striping tape has the needed stretchability. I'm not just making this up. I've tried both. This has black double stripes. Sorry, I don't have a closeup. They also have a gold foil. I got a bunch of different widths in the same package and it was cheap.
I think you can click the picture and then click "full size" and then click the picture aagain to blow it way up.

Thanks to everyone for the info!
I've been restoring a lot of old bikes in the last year, mostly pre-war balloon tire bikes but I REALLY do like breathing new life into old 10-Speeds!
