Was able to watch the last night of racing at the velodrome in Seattle a few weeks ago. It was such fun! My wife was a real sport and stayed with me although she was getting chilled by the night air. Had to leave after the junior awards presentation, but would have stayed through to the end if it were possible. It is totally additive to watch and make bets on the riders. I can see why Keirin racing lives on in Japan. Pure fun and excitement! If only I were a younger man...and lived near a velodrome.
