How much is this worth, "barn find"?

I have a mint condition, "barn find" on a 1986 Centurion Ironman, all Shimano 600 EX group set, everything is Shimano 600. How much do you think this is worth? thanks all

Depends on what condition its actually in vs what condition you claim.

Does 'mint' mean original condition and never touched in 35 years or does 'mint' mean its in perfect ready to ride condition?

If its 35 years old and never been ridden, itll need new cables housing, tires, tubes, brake pads, hub service, bottom bracket service, headset service, new bar tape, and possibly a new chain.
It should have a full overhaul and even though its neat to find something thst hasn't been touched, that means it hasn't been kept up on, and in a barn parts will rust and dry out even if not used.

Value also matters where you are, time of year, and what platform you sell on.
Some general numbers-
- if you sell it locally in a small market right now and its not serviced in 35 years, then $150-250.
- if you sell it on ebay or a large market and not been serviced, the $200-350.
- if you sell it refurbished and legitimately ready to ride with quality updated consumables, then $350-600 depending on what platform.

The high end of refurbished may be unrealistic now, but perhaps achieved in the spring. Original dersilleurs but with sti/brifters and matching cassette could help get the higher range.

I purchased an '87 Ironman from a person that literally rode it 2 or 3 times and then stored it in their basement. It was immaculate. I ended up using the parts on another bike and I sold the fame for $200.00. I believe I easily could have gotten north of $400.00 for the bike intact.

BTW, in some circles "barn find" carries a negative connotation. So in any advertising, I would not include that. To some a barn find is synonymous with neglected, unprotected, dilapidated, etc. So if it is near-original condition, then just say so.

I purchased this 88 Ironman Master for $200. It is in original immaculate condition with the original bar tape, etc. I think I got a great deal. It could most likely sell for $350-$400 if I wanted to part with it.

I see them up regular here for between 2-300. You might get more if it's in unused condition, but you'll have to find the right person.

Thanks for coming back. A lot of people never do. Most don't. Completed sales are good info. Congrats.
