These "show your <color> bike" threads are among the best on the net.
There's no other resource like it for those building a bike and getting ideas.

Well this one hasn't been shared in this thread. The beautiful Paletti that was built this past year. Found the silver Campagnolo 9 speed groupset right before building it, perfect match in my opinion.
This is how I finally finished it up with a sort deep set of silver rimmed wheels:

This is my work of art bike.

Look how smooth that is and that paint, LOVE!

All details are paint except for the headbadge and Columbus EL OS label.

Chrome is sweet as are the "flames" on the bike.

This was my first "real" race bike. My local shop purchased the frameset through Zar International in late 1995 and i built it using a Campy Mirage groupset from a brand new parted out carbon Allez
The bike went through parts pretty quick being a race bike that got a ton of miles and eventually it was a real hodge podge of just whatever i could find to keep it rolling and it was retired in 2002
I decided to rebuild it about 4 years ago and the goal was to build it into my 1996 era grail bike - so i turned it over to my local framebuilder who filled the dents with brazing material, had it repainted and sourced parts from that time period that make me happy to look at -- so its now primarily Chorus with Delta brakes and Zonda wheels

1984 Raleigh Corsa (Lightweight Unit)

I bought this new in 1984 (replace my stolen Roberts), first year for the Corsa, only year in this paint (Oyster - pearl white). Not the original groupset, now first generation Shimano 600 SIS (bought in 1986), Bicycle built up by Steve Taylor, mechanic on the ANC-Halfords squad on the 1987 TdeF (he's mentioned in the well-known book, Wide-Eyed and Legless - about the squad in the 87 tour). Other components: Cinelli 1a stem, Cinelli Giro d'Italia bar, Rolls saddle (red suede but faded after 3 + decades and Shimano 105 SLR brake levers. Original seatpin and pedals (although I have Shimano 600 replacements.
Thanks for looking, John.
