Those Shimanos are often 31.8 mm for mtn bikes or used for ovalized tubing to ensure a good fit.

Thanks to Brian3069 for finding that thread, yes the FD I have is for a 30.7 OD tube so will only fit those seat tubes (without some shim or collar) and it definitely is NOT what the guy in the Sales thread WTB. Sort of explains why it was sitting in my parts bin!

This one is not what most consider "C&V" but vintage can also include "recent vintage":
HAVE: this 20-hole hub, XERO brand, XERO LITE model, black with Shimmy/SRAM "8-speed" cassette body, 130 OLN, QR axle, Spins smooth, was built but appears to have had very light use.
NEED: a black finish 28-hole hub, similar quality but brand not important, can be a FR hub OR a 130 or 135 rear, if Rear then prefer for cassette (not freewheel)

ISO right hand Campagnolo bottom bracket cup. 1.370" x 24. The photos are pulled from the web but mine is identical except that it is cracked. I have lots of other cups that are the correct thread but the Campagnolo one is thinner and the other ones I have will move the chain line by over .1" and are not original anyway. I just thought I would check here in case someone has one.

How dead-set are you on 600 Arabesque? I have a pair of early DuraAce levers (about that vintage) in VGC.

Sure, just happen to have a couple, side view of the DA, no hoods, no cable "nozzles" (but might scare up something if you need a pair, may NOT be DA-correct, tho).
Front view shows these DA plus also some "BL-Z326" which I think are Golden Arrow, AKA early 105, crusty hoods and non-correct cable nozzles, no idea what or where they came from!

Balilla center pull brakes have this nice builtin drop bolt feature. Instead of round holes in the backing plates (stirrups), they have slots which allow you to move the entire caliper up or down by rotating the bolt 180°. I have a pair of these I'd like to use on the back of my Dawes as the drop bolt feature allows me to lower the caliper for 700c rims. Unfortunately, both bolts I have are too short, even for use on the rear:



That short bolt barely makes it through the backing plate and the brake bridge with a semicircular aluminum washer to mate the flat backing plate to the round brake bridge. There's not enough room for a washer and nut on the back (front) side (let alone the matching semicircular washer). My guess is that the bolt shown above was for use on a low-end bike with a flat sheet metal brake bridge.

I need something longer, probably 35mm at minimum, 40mm to be on the safe side. I tried swapping in a center bolt from a MAFAC Racer, but its diameter was too large to fit through the slightly narrower slot on the Balilla. (If it would have fit I'd have cobbled something together to take up the extra space in the slot.) Anybody got something like this? I'd be happy to buy an entire caliper (or set). Happy to trade as well. I have plenty of small parts to trade. If you need something, let me know.

i have a front wheel ( with wolber gentleman gta rim, 36h) and i'd like to find a rear wheel to match. can be anything from wolber (or mavic) just with the same box rim shape in 36h, silver, and freewheel hub.



i have a couple of 27" wheelsets in great shape, some 1st gen 600ex hubs (cassette included), some suntour freewheels, some suntour derailleurs, drilled dia compe levers w/turkey wings and SR rando bars in 39mm (both items clean!!), and some individual wheels in various usable condition. if you have something, i'm not looking for superb condition, just cleanable and usable

I'm planning on swapping my compact double crankset for a half step + granny triple. I already have a set of vintage takagi chainrings 48-44-28 in good shape. Looking for a decent crankset to put them on. I'd love to find one with fluted crank arms. Preferably 170mm length.

Just found out that the left pedal thread on a kids' bike I used for a shoot is stripped. Can't give it away like that. Looking for a 4" Ashtabula crank to replace it - youth 1/2" pedals ideal too.

ISO = 70s English road bike frame set similar to the one described and pictured below.



For trade, I have an early 70s Ernie Clements designed Falcon Model 92. I really like this style of bike, but this one is way too big for me. ST=24.5”/62.5cm TT=23.5”/60cm. I usually ride a 56cm square, but, depending on configuration, can do as big as 57cm or down to 55cm. I’m hoping to find a similar English Frame set in my size range. First choice would be another Falcon Model 92 in similar condition (I really like the wrap over set stays), but I’m open to other English brands. I’d like to avoid Raleighs with the weird threading. I’d also consider a “Made in Taiwan” Bianchi entry to mid level frame set.

This Falcon is complete and looks like all parts except the wheels and brakes are original. It has Campy Valentino shifters and derailleurs. Frame is faded and weathered, but has very little surface rust (nothing deep), 531 straight gauge main triangle and Campy dropouts with derailleur hanger. It has a Pivo stem with unbranded handle bars. The brakes are Dia Compe instead of the Wienmanns that were OEM. The brake cables & housings were replaced to allow test rides. Pix attached. However, I am only looking for a frame set for trade. The wheels aren’t worth shipping. I will include the rest of the components in the trade. Basically, anything that will fit in a frame box goes.

I’m also willing to add a few $ if the trader has something a bit more upscale.

Campagnolo aero water bottle cage for trade. No bottle but cage fits the bottle as pictured in last photo. Mine cracked ages ago. I could use an older Cyclone rear derailleur especially a longer cage. Caliper brakes, quick release skewers or whatever you think would be a good trade.

I have a thin (non-rifled) and a thick (rifled) fixed cup, both Italian, would trade either for an adjustable (hopefully with lockring) to match the other.

The thick one appears unused, ball tracks show zero, nothing. The thin one is used but in excellent condition, has a ball track but it's thin and I see no pits or marks anywhere.
