WTB: Traditional Touring Bike — 52 cm
I'm looking for a lightweight touring bike or frame, suitable for front loading. Nominal seat tube 52cm. Front fork must have bosses for lowrider racks. Clearance for 42mm tires (something like the Rene Herse Hurricane Ridge) with mudguards (= fenders). I want this to be my camping bike.
I have a Rivendell Atlantis with a low-trail fork which is almost what I'm looking for; it's great with a big handlebar bag, but has no provision for front panniers. I'm in the process of selling a Co-motion Divide on eBay; it is a wonderful bike, but with Rohloff, Gates Drive and S & S Couplers, it's too much of a bike for this 120 lb rider.
I'm thinking of a Soma Saga, Trek 520, or something of that ilk. A Long Haul Trucker is probably too heavy for me, and the 520–620–720 from the era when they were great frames don't have the tire clearance. I'm open to other suggestions of a bike or frame that will meet my needs.
