Greetings from NorCal
In June of 2020 I got back into cycling after a lengthy hiatus. The bike I had lying around was in dire need of some TLC so I found a reasonably priced used bike on Craigslist, not far from where I live, and bought it. It's a '91 Trek 8000, aluminum rigid frame, rigid chrome moly forks, flat bars, an old school basic MTB. Exactly what I was looking for to putter around my neighborhood and nearby bike paths.
I've been really enjoying it. I had forgotten how much fun it is to leisurely ride along, taking in all the sights, and discovering things I never knew existed not far from the house I've lived in for the past 30+ years! Driving my truck, or even riding my motorcycle I've spent years rippin' right past and never noticed. I'll be 60 in a few months, so it helps to stay active and enjoy some of the best things in life, at a more leisurely pace.
Keep the rubber side down!
