Need help adjusting my front derailleur
Hey folks,
I've got a road bike with Ultegra.
My front derailleur was having trouble switching into the large chainring, so I adjusted it using the barrel adjuster on my down tube.
It shifts just great while it's up on my repair stand.
But as soon as I ride it, it stops working.
I put it back up on my stand, works great.
Ride it, won't respond.
I've lost count of how many times I've done this.
Help!

Go here https://si.shimano.com/#/ find your derailleur and follow the instructions in order.

You can't be that far off. What's your cadence when you ride it? Are you pedaling along at 30rpm trying to pay attention to how well you adjusted your derailleur?

Could use some pictures of your derailer. Also a description of how you are shifting. What position or gear you are in when you shift. How fast you are pedalling... ect.

Make sure the cable is routed correctly. Sometimes an incorrectly routed cable will shift fine / adequately on the stand but crappy under load.
