Baby jogger extra hitch?

Anyone know where to buy a extra hitch for the baby jogger tailwind? I can forsee getting annoyed at constantly moving it from bike to bike and would rather just get an extra one.

Thanks.

Fish_sticks and for others looking for a solution, contact Baby Jogger directly via their toll free line @ 800-241-1848 with their hours of operation M -F 8:30 am -5:30 pm EST. I spoke to one of the reps who was very nice and told them exactly what I needed. The price of the hitch was $11-$12. Good luck and ride safe.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but this seems most appropriate after searching.

I am looking for a replacement hitch for a Babyjogger Tailwind, and after contacting the manufacturer, found out that they no longer have this part, or even have a part number for me to search appropriately. Does anyone have the part number of the hitch kit, or even better, a source of an actual hitch? Any help is much appreciated, as I currently have a trailer with no way to attach it to a bike.

Tailwind hitch solution

My experience with the manufacture supplied hitch was limited. I only used it for less than a dozen rides. It finally gave way when the joint was under pressure and I leaned the bike over on the stand. The part was cheap enough @ $12 but so was the construction. It was cast aluminum and it's design was very flawed in that it allowed very limited movement. It could've been built better for durability.

In terms of durability your best solution would be to, if possible have a machine shop weld something for you. Steel will outlast cast aluminum. It may cost more but I'm sure you'll enjoy it that much more.

Good luck.
