Suffering from n+1; please talk me down!
More accurately, talk my husband down. I have two bikes; a currently non-functional road bike, and a (deep breath) 2016 Giant Liv Rove Disc Lite that's my everything bike, mostly daily commuting. She's a tank, but she can take our awful roads without blinking. Then my LBS put their 2018 Specialized Sirrus on sale. It's very nice, and easily upgradable. Then I found this Specialized Rock Hopper on Craigslist. Now my husband keeps pestering me to buy one, or both! I Do Not Need This Bike. Or That Bike. But they're so pretty!

If you work on getting the "non-functional road bike" running that'll keep you busy and provide satisfaction.
The pretty LBS and CL bikes will always be there. See how easy that was?

The Sirrus is similar to your Rove, so I'd pass. The Rockhopper is nice, but I think the price is at least $50 too high, so no as well.

For goodness sakes, if that Rock Hopper will fit you, buy it immediately, $150 is nothing and it does look gorgeous.

Last Fall I bought a used but nearly mint 2012 Sirrus Elite. All I can say is it's a dream to ride. But if you don't need another bike, you don't need another bike. The Sirrus brings the tally up to 5 for me, but I NEED them, you see.

@AlmostTrick and @katsup, you're great dis-enablers; I should hire you.
@ColonelSanders I may have just emailed the owner. Because red goes faster; It Is Known.

Quite possibly. Rode her to Blue Lake yesterday, and she was great; I think I may have the fit nearly dialed in, just gotta move the saddle back about 1/4 inch. And finally get that blasted Jones loop bar installed!
Never heard back from the Rockhopper owner. C'est la vie.
