Another cheap Wabi for sale.
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...609679328.html
Hi folks,
I'm selling my Wabi Classic for $300. I have it set up with 28mm Specialized Armadillos, bullhorn bars with origin 8 bar end levers, and a 44t chainring. The rear hub is a flip-flop with an 18t freewheel and Wabi's own dual fixed cog with 16t and 18t cogs. Look it up on the website for a picture!
I have stored this bike indoors the entire time that I've had it.
The 55 fits pretty much like a 55. I have a 100mm stem on there I believe. You can read the description for Wabi's idea of the geometry, but I'd tell you that it's quite racy, and you'll have to run Medium MKS toe clips in order to not have toe overlap in the forward-most pedal positions. The bike is not quite twitchy, but it is definitely on the responsive side. I'll include the original saddle (I put a Brooks Cambium on after two days, so the saddle is immaculate. It's actually super comfy, just not spaced well for my tiny, bony butt.) and the MKS toe clips and pedals.
I had the bike for about a year and then stopped riding it. I've put a fair number of miles (~500) on it commuting around Chapel Hill, but I'm proud to say that the bike shows very little wear considering.
I'm happy to send you some pictures of the bike via email--feel free to ask for any specific shots. I'm equally glad to answer any questions you might have--you could also email Richard directly if you want a less biased (or maybe not) opinion! He will respond to you himself! I'll be able to meet anywhere in downtown CH, and the surrounding parts of the Triangle in the case of very serious inquiries. Thanks for your time and interest!

After seeing these Wabi's.. Why do you think they are being sold for so cheap. From what I've heard and seen Wabi is one of the higher end bikes available.

It’s raining underpriced Wabis in this thread. This one is better than the last two I posted, as this is a rare Scandium Lightning SE for only $300.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/6641769149.html
condition: fair
make / manufacturer: Wabi
model name / number: Lightning
size / dimensions: 52cm
Up for grabs is this 2010 or so, not sure the exact year Wabi Lightning scandium enhanced aluminum SS that weighs in around no more than 17lbs and thats with some pretty generic components. Rides great, needs a serious clean-up and tune though. Its been my winter and all around city commuter for the last 7 years and I've put a ton of miles on it so its pretty beat up but nothing that would affect the integrity of the frame. PDW rack NOT included.

Super fun to ride, needs some love but it'll be your new favorite like it has been mine. Gotta get rid of this guy asap cause I'm moving and dont have room for all the bikes. These things list for $1295 new now, pretty much the same frame, geometry, just different components. And they are new, clean and pretty.

Just spotted a cool IRO Rob Roy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-IRO-...YAAOSwKfJbcI68
I'm thinking about buying it or making an offer, but might have to hold off and buy adult **** instead.

Wow that's a pretty one. Not a fan of the campy decal on the top tube though.
I'm against the predisposition of groupset choice when it comes to building up a bike. Although anything other than the builder's suggestion would be a disservice in this case.
