Apparently I was correct

Moto-racing buddy just bought a roadbike; PT worked on the scar tissue over my trochanter that has been hurting.

Plan to ride with EOD Moto-racer (what could go wrong) 1 or 2 days, maybe 1 flat day if it's not too hot. Get the time in before I have to go suck it at sea level for most of September

Should I take him up the Crest? That can't go wrong either, right?!

OH ... and I did a HTFU ride yesterday ... woke up to rain, said screw it, I'm going riding ... I'm glad I did. I actually enjoy riding in the rain. I won't ride in storms obviously, but there's something about riding in the rain I do enjoy.
Nice!

I am always irked at the way my Garmin shows by RHR. I see it down to low-40s, but it insists on only using 50 consecutive beats. means I'm averaging 57 over the last week, which is a bit depressing!!!

I've beaten my mileage (on road and on Zwift and on the road for 2016 and 2017 already this year. Not bad for having 3 months non-weightbearing. I still have 15,000' to go to pass 2016s total annual climbing, though. Too many rides in the Bosque where it's nice and flat to spin out the hip, I guess.

Gravel bike was so dirty I took a hose to it this afternoon, something about spraying mechanical bits with water just doesn't seem right. Have to admit it was amazingly effective. Wiped it down afterward, let it dry in the sun, then wiped and oiled the chain and hit the derailleurs with a bit of Tri-flow.
