First organized Century.

Finally knocked out my first organized century. I did ride 100 miles getting ready for it, but that was the only previous 100 mile ride. I've actually worked on this for three years but I've had some rough luck until this one. Came down with pityriasis rosea a couple of summers ago while getting ready, doc said try to stay cool. That's tough to do on the bike here in the deep south. Being a man of a certain age, I went in for the all over skin check and had to have a potential problem removed. 15 stitches right in the middle of my back. Off the bike for while. Corporate america interupted once as well. Got a nice trip but had to put off a ride.

Anyhoo, it all fell into place finally. 5 hours 53 minutes of riding time, 17.1 average, basically pancake flat. Elapsed time with 3 stops of 6hrs and 17 minutes. I was solo probably 75 percent of the time, most of the group time was in the first hour and half or so.

Completely happy with the day.

Well done sevenmag! Rarely do things ever go as planned. As a ostomate (ileostomy for 14 years) you learn to roll with "things". Knocked out my 1st and 2nd century rides this season (may get a third in before the year is through)... time to plan for your next one!
