De Rosa Super Prestige

De Rosa Professional
I tried making this work, but my body cannot handle a 54cm. It’s full Nuovo Record with a Super Record headset. A few chips in the paint, the worst is the drive side chainstay and a small ding in front of the right shifter. Also chips under the bottom bracket. The chrome on the fork is almost perfect except on the right crown. I will send detailed info and pics if interested. $1450 shipped or $850 for frame and fork.

So nice, so elegant yet so pure and simple. No clicking when you shift, no hidden brake cables, I love it.
I just started working again after being shut down for almost 3 months. Right size, wrong price for me.
GLWS.

That bike should be priced higher, it's a heck of a deal.

I’d like to see some comments to date this De Rosa. It looks to me to be a late 70’s - early 80’s model - pretty uncommon and really nice condition. BTW , Super Prestige isn’t the model name. It was a points series award given to riders in the 70’s . Merckx of course dominated it, so you’ll see that sticker on De Rosa and Merckx frames.

Yeah, I was wrong about the name. I’m not to knowledgeable about De Rosa’s.

Yeah I had a Tommasini listed here a few months ago for a bargain price that didn’t sell.

OH, PURTY!! too bad about the dent.
As stated above, my size, but not my price (or the right time for that matter).

Yes, it is technically a dent, but many of the bikes that I have seen that have been ridden have some marring/paint loss in that area because of the front brake hitting the tube.
I would not consider it a deal-breaker.
GLWTS, Ben

Too bad it doesn't fit you, that's a lovely bike. Way too small for me.

Sorry, I’ve been insanely busy with work and family. The bike has been sold and I apologize for not updating the thread.
