Specialized seems to only sell their equipment at full price and no online place has any sales on their equipment. I want to get their new S-Works Road shoes but they cost $400! Has anyone seen any sales?

It's going to be tough since the new model just came out. On top of that Specialized has some tricky rules which don't allow dealers to sell certain items online at certain prices. If you don't have them, the older model can be had at some pretty serious discounts now. I picked up a pair from Art's Cyclery for $210 shipped with second day air a couple of months ago, although it appears their prices have gone up a bit since then.

i didn't know about that rule but it makes sense since i can't find their stuff sold on most online stores and when it is, it's not discounted

What size do you need? I have some 2012 models on closeout that we can ship to you. It will be tomorrow before I can check my inventory.

I've tried many shoes over the years and have been a Sidi fan a long time - maybe last five pairs are Sidi. But I tried on the Specialized and bought them on the spot. Definitely the best show out there, at least for me. The only unique thing about them for anyone thinkiing about buying them is they are wider than most

I find them at great prices, usually 50% off at my lbs when they gear up for ski season. Not the entire inventory though, have to catch them at the right time.

Wait until Specialized has them on closeout at the end of the year or when a new model comes out. I've gotten about 5 pairs of shoes directly from Specialized for a good price this way. You have to wait and watch for the sale however... instant gratification does not apply.
Current model usually = MSRP
